These short videos show the stories of women park rangers from Costa Rica. These are five female officials of the National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC), who perform important functions of conservation and management of natural resources of protected wild areas, specifically: <\/span><\/p>\n

-Ostional National Wildlife Refuge.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Cocos Island National Park.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Barra del Colorado National Wildlife Refuge. <\/span><\/p>\n

-Cahuita National Park.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Tortuguero National Park.<\/span><\/p>\n

In these stories by Yeimy Cede\u00f1o Sol\u00eds, Dulce Mar\u00eda Varela Quir\u00f3s, Andrea Cruz Siles, Mirna Cort\u00e9s Obando and Elena Vargas Ram\u00edrez, the personal and professional motivations that led her to take on this great challenge are reflected, and they also talk about the challenges and main tasks they do in this important work. This initiative arises within the framework of the More Women More Nature Program and as a way to commemorate the necessary and important work carried out by women park rangers in Cosa Rica. <\/span><\/p>\n
